Prime Directive - Isn't that a Bullywug?
Vulcan Xenobiologist and photographer
Ever the thoughtful Vulcan, T’Kyr epitomises the Vulcan scientist in so many way her team often joke that she was moulded from some sort of Vulcan template file. Quiet, not very social and studious, T’Kyr is often overlooked during team exercises until she speaks up with an invariably logical suggestion that pushes the team forward to victory.

A student of Xenobiology, T’kyr finds the study and cataloguing of new species fascinating to the point where she will often take more time than is strictly necessary scanning and photographing her discoveries. While others find this level of activity somewhat illogical, T’kyr tells anyone who questions her practises that it is entirely logical to ensure that the best data and images are captured about subjects that could later be of use to the team and/or the Federation.
Never without a camera or image scanner of some kind, T’Kyr takes her Xenobiology studies directly into the realms of photography, framing her subjects in what humans may say is ‘Aesthetically pleasing’ ways. T’Kyr, of course, refutes this, telling anyone who jokes about it that it is perfectly logical to seek the most accurate blend of colour and composition to enhance the imagery and to highlight the most relevant parts of her subjects for later study. After all, humans and ACs find looking at ugly images distracting and you cannot study if you are distracted by ‘poor aesthetics’.
T’Kyr has a particular fascination with the Romulan race, having studied Romulan both as a method of communication with them to both assist in mission parameters and in the hope to one day stand on the surface of Romulus to photograph the landscape herself.
T’Kyr doesn’t go out of her way to socialise and her experiments with various photographic equipment often keeps her away from team-mates during down time, earning her the quiet and unsociable reputation. The truth is, T’Kyr harbours some Psionic talent and feels that this is a highly personal concern, seeking to avoid questions from curious humans and Cygnans who have some odd questions about a subject that she feels is purely a Vulcan concern.
